After he got expelled from school, Howie Mandel worked as a carpet salesman while also performing his stand-up routines at various clubs. He went to visit LA and during his trip, he performed at The Comedy Store and was hired as one of the regulars there. Later, Mandel started working both in TV and film and he hosted game shows as well. In 2008, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He has been married to Terry Soil since 1980 and they share 3 children together. Mandel revealed that he has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and that he is colorblind.
