Where does a name need to fall in the popularity rankings for it to be considered “popular/common”. I know it can often depend on region etc. but I am just curious. We really want a name that is not going to be common/popular but not unusual. Our son’s name is about is in the #570s. I don’t feel like a name needs to be THAT far down the list! I would like something that we won’t run the risk of having other kids in her/his class or playgroup with the same name. Should we look outside of the top 100? Top 300?
